Infection control in Eikedalen

adminInformation

On this page will continuously post relevant information related to Covid-19.

In the first instance, we lay out the guidelines for Alpinanleggenes Landsforening.

We ask you to keep this in mind first:

The most important thing we demand of you as a guest before you start skiing is that you make decisions on the following:

Am I sick?
Am I in quarantine?

In that case, do not visit our facilities. We are completely dependent on people who have symptoms, are ill or are in quarantine staying at home. If you are not one of the points above, we want you to abide by the rules we are all pretty familiar with now, but let’s repeat them:

Sick stay at home
Good hand and cough hygiene
At least 1 meter distance

What happens if you get symptoms or get sick if you visit one of our resorts this winter? Then we have the following advice for you and you:

Go home as soon as possible
Wait outside or in a separate room if possible
Do not take public transport
Cover your mouth and nose or keep 2 meters away from others

Anything you want to notify or report? Contact your doctor or the facility.

Lift pass

To prevent queues, we encourage all lift tickets to be purchased online, in a vending machine or in an app where possible.
All guests must be informed when purchasing a lift pass that they must follow the infection control advice, and that they must not be present in the area in the event of symptoms of a respiratory infection or if they are in quarantine.
Violation of these rules may result in expulsion from the site.

The ski lifts

In the elevator queues, we ask that you keep a rod length distance to the nearest person, in front, behind and to the sides. Follow signs and instructions.
In the lift, you only ride with family or travel companion, also on a T-hook.
All lifts are still manned, and if you need help when getting in, tell the lift operator.
In the chairlift you do not take down the wind protection.
In the gondolas, the number of passengers is limited.
Norway now has a limit on the number of people in chairlifts. This means that every other seat can be used, but that family and travel companions can fill up the chair.
The single queues must be removed to avoid contact between people who are not in a family / travel party.

The facilities are also looking at measures to spread the traffic in the facility in order to make the best use of the capacity where it is natural.

Ski school

Education and ski school is a welcome product for many, but here too there will be changes this year.

Sick children do not participate
Keep 1 meter apart
Only one adult accompanies the child to the gathering place.
Arrive well in advance so that organization and distance are easier to handle.

We do this:

Maximum 10 pax in each group
Limits contact in play and teaching
Limit sharing of common equipment

Ski rental

Many of you want to rent skis or snowboards. This will still be possible, but we want you to pre-book this where possible. Check with the facility you are going to, on their website.

Equipment is cleaned with soap and water after use
Helmets can be quarantined if necessary
All poles, goggles and the like should be moved to avoid testing

Serving and après ski

Our restaurants will be open as usual and here it is encouraged to follow the general guidelines regarding distance and serving at the tables.

When it comes to après ski, there will be an offer in some places, but then within the current infection control rules. This means that distance requirements of 1 meter must be followed and serving takes place at tables, among other things. The traditional après ski will probably not be as before, but we focus on a still pleasant atmosphere at all our restaurants. Here, too, cashless payment is encouraged.

All contact surfaces are washed frequently, especially card machines and other frequently used machines

We do this:

We have stricter routines for cleaning, and follow the guidelines in our industry
We disinfect all necessary contact points, such as door handles, toilets, remote controls and other slippery surfaces.
All our ski resorts must be equipped with disinfectant available and good and clear communication to our guests.
